About
Dr. Harris grew up in Columbus, GA, and earned her DVM degree from the Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating Cum Laude in 2019. Prior to attending veterinary school, she spent five years working as a veterinary assistant at Paws Humane and 2nd Avenue Animal Hospital. Dr. Harris loves the opportunity to dive into a challenging surgery or work up a complicated case, and she cherishes the opportunity to make a difference not just in the lives of her patients and clients, but the community as a whole. She’s a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and is particularly interested in soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Harris’ fiancee Anna-Claire works with Animal SOS in Columbus, and their love of animals is evident by their fabulous fur family of nine dogs: seven chihuahua mixes and two pittie mixes! She has had two of them, Pinky and Chloe, since they were born, and they’re now 16 and 12 years old. When she’s not working, Dr. Harris loves to be outdoors in the woods or on the water—hiking, mountain biking, boating, and fishing.
